More car bags and another bean bag phone stand 

I use my car bag and bean bag phone stand all the time, so I made a few more to gift to others. I’d like to say they are easier, but I still made a cutting mistake on one of the bags. It happens, even to people who have been sewing a long time.

Quilt the rainbow

I made these squares a while back. They are mostly unique strips, 10 per square and 50-ish squares, so about 500 different fabrics. How does one compile 500 fabrics? That’s a great question—a lifetime of sewing and a love of fabric. Epic scrap bins. Plus some help from quilty friends, especially in the purple squares. Purple is definitely the neglected color family in my stash.

After a few layouts, I realized that the one I liked needs another row and another column, so I am working on the indigo column of Roy G. Biv. (I know the pink makes it P. Roy G. Biv. I can live with that.) I have some extra squares for most colors, so a dozen additional squares should do it. See how I made that sound easy? (Ha!) Wish me luck!
