Strip quilt 

I sewed this strip-piece panel to use up small amounts of bobbin thread. I was going to use it as a pocket on a bag, but then went in another direction. So it awaits its destiny.

The cat’s out of the bag

I made this cute bag inspired by some cat fabric in my stash and this free Cinch-It Tote Bag pattern from All People Quilt. I used bound buttonholes instead of grommets. I used some precut 2.5” strips and adjusted the width of the center panel. I also used a quilt-as-you-go method on the front and back panels before assembling them. I added an interior welt pocket mostly for the practice of installing zippers.

Car bags

This is a project from Caroline at Sew Can She. My sunglasses and phone needed corralling in the car and this was perfect. Plus! Two more opportunities for my zipper practice!
