A Quiet Candle Burns for You

You won’t always know who kept you alive.

But someone did.

Maybe it was the stranger who caught your eye and smiled, 

on the day you felt most invisible.

Maybe it was the old dog curled in a sunlit window,

breathing warmth into a world that felt cold.

Maybe it was a single line in a forgotten book,

or a message from a friend that arrived

just in time.

And maybe, without ever knowing, 

you’ve been that someone for someone else.

Because love doesn’t always shout.

And presence doesn’t ask to be seen.

Some gestures are feather-light.

Some glances go unnamed.

But they steady us.
