The book stack is keeping me busy this month. Here’s what I have been reading and listening to.
I have been reading three books authored or co-authored by William Ury:
-
Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In, a classic book on negotiation coauthored with Roger Fisher and Bruce Patton on the revised editions. This is a book that’s been in my book collection for a while.
-
Getting to Yes With Yourself and Other Worthy Opponents. (This book has multiple subtitles.)
TL;DR? Check out To Achieve a Win-Win Situation, First Negotiate with Yourself.
Inspired: How to Create Tech Products Customers Love by Marty Cagan. This was recommended as a go-to book on product management. With a short-chapter format, this book offers bite-sized lessons on product management–and not just tech products and not just physical products.
Yes to Life: In Spite of Everything is Viktor Frankl’s self-edited volume based on lectures he gave before publishing Man’s Search for Meaning.
The Listening Path: The Creative Art of Attention by Julia Cameron offers six weeks of tools on becoming a better listener. Some of this book will be familiar if you’ve read Cameron’s The Artist’s Way and/or done her Morning Pages.
