Admitting it is the first step: I have a 3×5 card obsession. ( If I am being honest, I love all office supplies.) I use 3×5 cards all the time: for to-do lists, shopping lists, note-taking, strategic planning, and recall practice. I have lined cards and different colors. I even expanded my repertoire to 4×6 cards.

Here are 7 reasons that I gravitate to 3×5 cards:

1. They are portable

2. It’s easy to use one at a time.

3. They are sturdier than paper or Post-it Notes.

4. They are recyclable.

5. Space is limited so I don’t overdo it with to-do lists.

6. Lined and unlined versions are available.

7. They are inexpensive and easy to find.
