The seed garlic arrived. I put it in a cool place with air circulation before planting. It’s big! It’s been a while since I purchased bulb garlic. I’ve been a minced garlic-in-a-jar kind of girl, especially during the pandemic. The garlic is going in a raised bed that previously held tomatoes. For the first time in my gardening life, I am rotating my crops.
To plant, you separate the bulbs into cloves but don’t peel them. Plant cloves 4 inches apart and 3 inches deep. Three good-sized bulbs yielded about 40 cloves to plant. Now we wait 165 days. I’ll give an update in April!
