Not really, as it turns out. I walked from the parking structure to my office with one Arizona coat on Monday. On Tuesday I wore a second coat on top of the first. I immediately ordered a long heavy coat upon reaching my office. It’s cold, my friends! There’s snow on them there hills!

Nevadans know how to have a good time: They have the Balloon Races, the Candy Dance, Good Vibrations, Nevada Day and Fantasies in Chocolate. FIC is a night of drinking champagne and eating chocolate. I skipped the drinking–in my mind, it just ruins the chocolate!

Went to the national conference in Dallas, TX. The conference was held at the convention center and outside the convention center is Pioneer Plaza. The plaza features 40 larger-than-life longhorn cattle herded by 3 cowboys on horses created by artist Robert Summers of Glen Rose, Texas. Everything is bigger in Texas. There’s also a cemetery. An odd juxtaposition. Liked Dallas. Easy to get around with a lot of neat old hotels.

In Nevada, we have a state holiday called Nevada Day. This is the day that Nevada entered the union, October 31. It’s celebrated on the last Friday of the month. You can learn more at nevadaday.com, of course!

No, she’s been selling and buying houses and moving! Amazingly, this takes a lot of energy–emotional and physical. I am back to the Blogosphere and I have stories to tell.
